After treating the printed model with acetone vapors, we obtain the effect of a smooth and uniform surface, which makes it perfect as a material imitating glass, e.g. in flashlights and lamp shades.

The above visual properties offered by EASY ABS, combined with the strength typical of traditional ABS, will allow you to create durable models while maintaining their low weight (density 1.07 g/cm3). This material is also characterized by good chemical resistance and resistance to temperatures up to approx. 90°C.

DURABILITY FOR YEARS

Thanks to its resistance to UV radiation, high temperatures and humidity, Fiberlogy ASA is the perfect choice for all 3D printing applications that will be exposed to weather conditions. High mechanical and thermal resistance (up to 94°C) and ease of printing make this material a great replacement for ABS, ensuring its popularity in the automotive industry and in the manufacturing of everyday items.

ASA (acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylate), due to its clearly lower shrinkage than ABS, does not require a heated chamber to ensure a successful print. Unlike its predecessor, ASA gives off much less annoying odours. Less shrinkage and good adhesion prevent the model from curling and cracking and ensure high stability of the print dimensions.

The finished model made with Fiberlogy ASA can be smoothed by exposure to acetone. The material is suitable for sanding and painting. It can also be glued with acetone.

Water-soluble supports

The BVOH filament from Fiberlogy is a butene-diol vinyl alcohol copolymer. It can be used to print perfect prototypes, complex structures and movable mechanisms. It particularly comes in handy where traditional supports could be difficult to remove or would not be sufficient to obtain a satisfactory final print result. With BVOH, printing highly complex 3D objects is extremely easy.

Supports created using BVOH filament are very easy to remove. After printing a 3D model, simply place it in warm water and the support filament will dissolve completely. This will result in the actual model being of noticeably better quality than in the case of supports which have to be broken out.

The BVOH filament can be used with printers with a double extruder. It is characterized by high adhesion to various types of materials. It can be combined with popular materials such as PLA, ABS, PET-G, ASA, Nylon, elastic filaments (e.g. TPU), etc.

The filament should be stored in a dry place, e.g. in a sealed bag, in order to avoid wetting of the material and the resulting deterioration of its properties.

MORE THAN THE BASE

HIPS filament is a base in both meanings of this word: its properties allow it to be used as a basic filament and also as a support for other materials.

Using it in printing will give you a light and good-looking print with a matt surface. You can polish it and even coat it with acrylic paint. This allows each model or miniature to look very tasteful.

DURABILITY AND RESISTANCE

PA12 + GF15 is another material offered by Fiberlogy, which is a derivative of Nylon PA12. It was created by reinforcing it with glass fiber (GF), which constitutes 15% of the product. This made it possible to significantly increase the durability, stiffness, and thermal and chemical resistance compared to pure Nylon. PA12 + GF15 has a stiffness of 3.6 GPa and a temperature resistance of up to 170°C.

Unlike Nylon with an addition of carbon fiber, available as Fiberlogy PA12 + CF5 and PA12 + CF15, this filament offers greater flexibility, making it ideal for applications operating under variable loads and exposed to impacts.

The very low shrinkage ensures high dimensional stability. This combined with high durability makes engineering excellence achievable at home. This filament does not require a heated chamber. However, due to the high abrasiveness, steel or ruby nozzles should be used for printing in order to prevent excessive wear.
